Everyone has heard about lemon Pepper wings, but have you tried Lime on your fried chicken?
It is delicious and super flavorful.
Ingredients:
4 chicken wings,
1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/4 cup of chicken broth
2 tablespoons of lime juice
2 teaspoons of lime zest
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons of butter
Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
Directions:
Cut the chicken wings and omit the fin Take the drums and flats and Coat them lightly with flour Shake off any excess
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat Cook the
chicken for about 15 minutes, turning once, until golden and cooked through Transfer to a plate and keep warm
In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, lime juice, lime zest and honey Pour the mixture into the same skillet and bring to a boil Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened
Stir in the butter and season with more salt and pepper if needed Spoon the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with cilantro
Have with a side of potato salad and a lemonade
