Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of chicken pieces (such as drumsticks, thighs, or breast pieces)
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).
2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (180°C).
4. Remove the
chicken pieces from the buttermilk and dredge them in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure to coat them evenly.
5. Carefully place the chicken pieces in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
6. Fry the chicken pieces for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
7. Remove the chicken from the oil and place them on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
8. Serve the super crispy fried chicken hot with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Note: Make sure the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.
