FRIED CABBAGE WITH BACON, ONION, AND GARLIC
Ingredients:
1 whole cabbage
Make sure that is chopped well
1 whole Onion chopped
2 tsp of Minced garlic
5 Strips of bacon cooked crispy and crumbled
Reserved bacon grease
½ tsp of Onion powder
½ tsp of Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Step by Step on How to make Fried Cabbage with Onions and Bacon:
Step 1 Cook the bacon until crispy and set it aside to cool Make sure that you save the bacon grease
Step 2 Use the bacon grease to cook the onions use a deep skillet,
and cook the onion until it is softened or translucent
Step 3 Add the garlic to the onions and cook another minute or so
Step 4 Reduce the heat to and add the cabbage to the pot Stir and place lid on the pan Slow cook until the cabbage has softened
Step 5 Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder
Salt to taste Shake some pepper in the pan as well
Cook for another 5 minutes
Step 6 Add the crumbled bacon to the top of the cabbage and serve
