Sour Cream Pound Cake
Ingredients: 1 cup real butter only 3 cups granulated sugar 7 large eggs at room temperature 8 ounces sour cream room temperature 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 3 cups flour ( all purpose) 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F
 Coat a tube pan with vegetable shortening In the bowl mix butter flour and sugar until fluffy Stop the mixer clean the sides Mix again
Add the eggs one at a time Mixing each one in before adding the nextStop the mixer and scrape the sides Mix
to combine
Stir in sour creamCombine flour, salt, and baking powder in a small bowl Add to batter 1/2 cup at a time until combinedStir in vanilla Stop the mixer and clean the sides Combine again
Spoon the batter into prepared pan Bake at 325 degrees for one hour and 20 to one hour to 25 minutes Test the cake with a tooth pick Allow the cake to cool on a cooling rack for 15 to 20 minutes Enjoy with a glass of tea or milk
