2 brown Eggs
1/2 tsp of Molasses
1 1/2 cups of All purpose flour
1 tsp of Baking powder
1/4 cup of light Brown sugar
1 tsp of Cinnamon
1/2 tsp of Salt
1 tsp of Vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup of White sugar
1/4 cup of olive oil
3/4 cup of unsalted Butter
1/2 cup of Buttermilk
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees
Thoroughly grease up a loaf pan Use your favorite cooking spray Set it to the side
In a large mixing bowl, mix the oil, butter, and sugar Do this until it is well combined
Next add in the eggs and vanilla
Mix until smooth
Gently add in the dry ingredients
Add in the buttermilk as well
Mix until it’s nice and smooth
Separate a half of cup of the batter
Place the batter aside in a smaller bowl
You are going to add in cinnamon and molasses to that small bowl of batter
Next, Pour half of the batter into the bottom of the loaf pan
Spoon half of the cinnamon batter in small dollops Do this over the batter
Pour the remaining plain batter over the batter
Put
the remaining cinnamon batter on top of the regular batter
Use a butter knife Take the utensil and swirl the two batters together
Bake for about 45 to 50 minutes
Periodically check the bread by taking a toothpick and sticking it in the middle It will be done, when the tooth pick comes off clean
Make the Topping
Melt some butter
Pour the melted butter into a glass dish that’s shallow
Stir up some sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon
This will be done in a separate dish
Let the loaf cool for about 10 minutes After that you can remove the loaf from the pan
The loaf should be nice and warm to the touch
Dip each side of the loaf into the melted butter Spoon in the remaining melted butter over the edges This is to ensure the loaf is totally coated in butter
Place the loaf in the cinnamon and sugar mixture
Do this one side at a time Make sure that the loaf is fully coated
Slice the loaf into slices
Serve warm or at room temperature
Have with a side of vanilla ice cream
